When it comes to the memory of ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin, his daughter Bindi isn’t going to let it fade away as a distant memory.

She grew up in the Australian outback, exploring nature with her family until her dad famously died when she was eight, while recording a Discovery Channel special on stingrays.

Grief does not change you, it reveals you.

Now almost 17, nature preservation still plays a major role in her life. Bindi is aware of her role as the perceived heir to the Crocodile Hunter throne.

Since her father’s death, family is a top priority in her life. Her brother, Robert, is a spitting image of his famous father:

Blessed to have this one in my life. He makes me laugh every day.

Bindi recently said in an interview:

“To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.”

Sky blue. My favourite colour. The freedom in my soul. ?

And now she has someone new to share that with. Bindi recently opened up to ET about the special person in her life:

“There is someone special in my life right now, and I’m really happy with that. Life is wonderful at the moment.”

While the heir to the Crocodile Hunter legacy didn’t reveal her boyfriend’s name, but she has been seen hanging out with professional wakeboarder Chandler Powell.

She seems happy and we all wish the best for her

As for her dad Steve and that Crocodile Hunter legacy – it looks like it’s in great hands.

About Hunter Roosevelt

Hunter's political beliefs are always evolving. Not really. He can be seen supporting whichever side has the hotter women so it's almost always the conservative side (have you seen the hippy chicks? Gross). When he's not writing he's celebrating the resurgence of his beloved Florida Gators and New York Mets.
