If you weren’t already aware, Michael Bay is directing a movie about the incidents around the 2012 attack on the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya.
The video is entitled ’13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi’ and focuses on the off-site security team which was not allowed to assist the embassy until it was too late.
The film is due to come out January 15th, around the same time as the primary season starts heating up for the 2016 presidential election.
Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton has faced widespread criticism of her handling of the Benghazi attack while she was Secretary of State. Clinton is set to appear before a congressional committee and testify on Benghazi in October.
The film stars James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, David Denman, Dominic Fumusa, and Freddie Stroma.
U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith along with CIA contractors, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty were killed in the attack.
