Lots of people talk about taking up skiing, skydiving, or running fitness races, however, few people ever take the steps to make those things happen. Life gets in the way. Things like being to busy or too tired from the rest of your life.
Marine Corporal Todd Love shows that your excuses are invalid. After losing both of his legs and part of his left arm while serving with the Marine Corps 1st Reconnaissance Battalion in 2010 in Afghanistan, some people might have given up. Some might have resigned themselves to a life of sitting in front of a TV or computer. Not Todd Love.
Here is a photo of Todd while serving in Afghanistan.
And here he is recovering after stepping on an explosive device. He looks to be in pretty good spirits for someone who just went through something like that.
What has Todd been up to since his life was changed forever. Oh, just a little of this and a little of that.
He’s an avid skydiver (what, you haven’t been yet?)
You can’t be a skydiver without getting into surfing (everyone knows that):
Skiing almost seems easy compared to his other hobbies, although it looks like he’s doing it in blizzard here, so there’s that.
Of course, you have to stay in shape too. Todd is pretty into fitness. He famously completed the Spartan Race, a difficult obstacle course, in 2012 while wearing a mask that restricted his breathing up 30%, making the course even harder to complete.
He can also do this.
Oh yeah, he can also play classical piano pieces. With one hand.
Love is truly an inspiration to everyone around the world. Thank you for your service Corporal.
