Just so you’re aware, this post is going to contain some language that some find offensive. I’ll bleep out the expletives in question, but you’ll still be forced to acknowledge that the offensive word exists, which is more than some of you delicate flowers can handle. So consider yourself warned.

Now onto the irony. This one is great. George Zimmerman, the infamous neighborhood watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, was recently punched in the face by a man who was pissed that Zimmerman had shot Martin in self-defense.
That’s right. In self-defense. He had no objection to Zimmerman shooting Martin, and seemed impressed by the act, up until the point that Zimmerman emphasized that the shooting had been in self-defense. That’s when Zimmerman’s assailant called him a “n***** lover” and socked him in the kisser.
Zimmerman identified the man as Eddie. Eddie and a group of friends recognized Zimmerman at the Gators Riverside Grille in Sanford, but didn’t think it was really him. So they asked Zimmerman to prove who he was. Zimmerman took out his driver’s license and showed it to the group.
He then told Zimmerman that the shooting happened just as it has always been portrayed, as an act of self-defense.
Eddie, upset by the self-defense part, got in Zimmerman’s face. “You better get the f*** out here you n***** lover, you ain’t welcome here.” And then the punch.
Zimmerman related this to the 911 operator. He wanted police to show up and arrest Eddie. Zimmerman intends to press charges. “This man just punched me in the face,” Zimmerman said. “He said he was going to kill me. You need to send three or four cops.”
Eddie had fled by the time police arrived. Witnesses had conflicting versions of what went down. Some said he was bragging about shooting Martin, and that’s why he got punched.
Either way. Zimmerman didn’t shoot Eddie.
