Members of the media are fleeing the #OregonStandoff at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge following warnings from the FBI that it is no longer safe to stay, suggesting a raid is imminent.

“It’s time for everybody in this illegal occupation to move on. There doesn’t have to be bloodshed in our community,” Harney County sheriff David Ward told reporters.

Lauren Martinez from Oregon’s KTVZ News Channel 21 posted two tweets, one said she was leaving because of the FBI warning while the other included video showing her pulling up to an FBI roadblock.

Other reporters were given similar warnings and told it’s time to head for safety.

In a series of tweets, Oregon Public Broadcasting’s John Sepulvado talked about his last interaction with one of the, as he calls them, militants:

“in the last interview i had with a militant before i left the scene, she told me that when the press left waco. everyone died.

“i asked her why she didn’t just leave with us. she said she had to stand against tyranny. i said how bad can it be, we’re having this convo.

“she told me if i didn’t get, i wouldn’t get it. i told her i hoped i saw her again, she asked for a hug, we hugged, we left. she stayed.”

About Hunter Roosevelt

Hunter's political beliefs are always evolving. Not really. He can be seen supporting whichever side has the hotter women so it's almost always the conservative side (have you seen the hippy chicks? Gross). When he's not writing he's celebrating the resurgence of his beloved Florida Gators and New York Mets.
