Based on incoming reports, it looks like the Islamic State, aka ISIS/ISIL, has attacked a military vessel in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to reports, the terror group used high powered rockets to strike an Egyptian patrol boat off the coast of the Sinai peninsula, near the coast of Israel and the Gaza Strip. The area has been a hotbed of ISIS activity in recent months.
The rocket struck the boat and caused it to burst into flames. The boat, said to be an Egyptian Coast Guard vessel, was damaged, but no loss of life has been reported. There may also have been injuries to the crew.
The boat was on a mission to hunt down terrorist elements along the coastline.
Israel said in a statement that they did not take part in the exchange and were not asked for assistance by the Egyptians.
