In its latest atrocity, ISIS / Daesh has released a video showing the beheading of a Russian man and is now threatening Vladimir Putin and the Russian people directly.
As the captive kneels before the terrorist in the now infamous orange jumpsuit, the ISIS jihadi says the man is a spy and boldly states that Russian airstrikes against the pseudo-state “has only made us more certain and more firm.”
The beheader then addresses the camera and speaks to the Russian people, saying: “You will not find peace in your homes. We will kill your sons … for each son you killed here. And we will destroy your homes for each home you destroyed here.”
Poking the Russian bear has never been a good idea. Following last month’s bombing of a Russian airliner, Putin said, “We will find them anywhere on the planet and punish them.”
It’s not like Putin has dropped white phosphorus on ISIS strongholds before. Oh wait, he has.
While neither the man’s identity nor his role as a Russian spy has been confirmed, Russia has made it clear that they have an extensive spying network inside ISIS and other Islamic terror groups.
“This allows us to track the movement of those who are of interest to us,” said Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader. “Moreover, it allows us to send those who, even as a joke, direct the barrel towards Russian on an eternal trip with a one-way ticket.”
