If a terrorist is going to post a selfie with his base in the background… he and his friends are going to have a very bad day.
That’s what one ISIS terrorist found out the hard way after bragging about the terror groups controlled territories. Standing in front of the command and control building for the group, the none to bright terrorist posted the picture on social media.
When U.S. military intelligence got a hold of the image, they responded quickly. According to Air Force General Hawk Carlisle, the head of Air Combat command:
“The guys were combing through social media and see some moron standing at this command post… bragging about the command and control capabilities for Daesh (another name for ISIS).
“Long story short, about 22 hours later through that very building, three JDAMs [Joint Direct Attack Munitions] take that entire building out.”
That’s right, less than 24 hours after the selfie hit social media, American bombs destroyed the terrorist’s vaunted command building.
While we don’t have video of the actual strike, here’s a collection of previous airstrikes against ISIS targets… you know, for science.
