While President Obama continues to avoid even saying the words “Islamic terror”, Russian leader Vladimir Putin has a more no-bullsh*t approach.
The FSB, Russia’s intelligence agency, has confirmed that ISIS is responsible for the November 1st bombing of a Russian Airbus passenger plane, killing more than 220 people.
“We will find them anywhere on the planet and punish them,”Putin said of the plane bombers at a somber Kremlin meeting broadcast on Tuesday.
Wearing a dark suit, Putin presided over a moment of silence in memory of the victims at the Kremlin meeting, before giving security and military chiefs carte blanche to track down the perpetrators.
“Our air force’s military work in Syria must not simply be continued,” he said to the generals. “It must be intensified in such a way that the criminals understand that retribution is inevitable.”

To the heads of Russia’s secret services, he was just as blunt.
“We must do this without any statute of limitations and we must find out all their names,” he said.
“Anyone who tries to help the criminals should know that the consequences for trying to shelter them will lie completely on their shoulders.”
I feel like we’ve heard a very similar speech once before:
