The video above shows the same vehicle that the San Francisco PD is now using to patrol the waterways of SF.
Police vehicles are certainly changing from what they were 50 years, heck even 10 years ago. Gone are the fleets of Crown Victorias and Harleys that used to fill most police motorpools.
They have been replaced by armored personnel carriers, dirt bikes, eco friendly cruisers, sports cars for the highway, dirt bikes, and now it appears we can also add amphibious quad skis to that list. The following photo was snapped at a recent San Francisco Giants baseball game.
The vehicle was donated to the police department by the CEO of Sales Force, a popular CRM software service. The vehicle normally runs around $50,000.
